Our career track
Our career model has five levels, each associated with additional responsibility and performance expectations. Supporting this, the model has five focus areas that are added for each level in the career.
All consultants will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. Over time, consultants will be expected to take on more responsibility and greater challenges with regard to customer contact, sales and project management. There are no quantitative sales goals for the consultant levels. The ability to build relations and contribute to sales is assessed through the qualitative project evaluations - compensation at Quartz+Co is merit based.
The Career Model:
- Level A
A consultant on level A will focus on getting the basic toolbox in place for delivering consistently on projects, both in terms of skills and behaviour. You will be engaged in project deliverables with key tasks being data gathering, analyses, fact-finding and documentation. This role is all about touching base with the role of consulting and learning the Quartz+Co way.
- Level B
As a level B consultant, you will start to focus on client interaction and relationship building as well as the ability to continuously provide assistance for projects. This may vary from preparation of sales meetings to analysis and research work or participation in client meetings.
- Level C
On level C, contribution to insight and knowledge sharing will be added as well as the ability to deliver on more complex projects. You will act as a project manager on low complexity projects or as stream lead on defined tasks of larger projects. You will experience significant client exposure and participate in client presentations. Preparing and delivering projects are essential elements in our business, and at this level you should both be able to design and manage the analysis phase of a project as well as outline presentation structures, key messages, conclusions and recommendations.
- Level D
On level D, leadership and building the sales pipeline are in focus. As an experienced Quartz+Co consultant, you manage your own projects. You have client responsibility and you are measured on sales performance. You both lead and participate in a range of exciting projects. You solve our clients' challenges and add value as well as create new business opportunities. High performers will be considered for partnership.
- Engagement Partners
When a level D Consultant has demonstrated a strong potential for becoming a future partner, he or she will be promoted to Engagement Partner. An Engagement Partner is recognised as a partner-in-training and focus is on accelerating their personal development by giving them a greater degree of personal sparring and attention on key partner election criteria such as client impact, commercial relationship building, knowledge-building, people leadership and taking on various aspects of driving and developing Quartz+Co as a company.
- Partners
We have no upper or lower limit in Quartz+Co as to when consultants can be elected as partners. This is determined by the capabilities and features of the individual. Typicallya successful consultant can expect to be elected partner within seven to ten years. Partners are at the core of driving Quartz+Co forward. They have the commission to improve existing relationships to clients and to develop and shape new ones. Focus is on delivering innovative and unique solutions based on the clients' needs to help them change the rules of the game in their industries. In addition, partners have the essential task of leading Quartz+Co. This includes playing a pivotal role in defining and improving the culture, values and uniqueness of Quartz+Co and inspiring and developing the people and teams in the company.
Furthermore, at Quartz+Co we have a team of Junior Consultants. The Junior Consultants Team is consisting of the most talented students from leading universities in the Nordic region.
